Hello, peace and Asalaam-o-Alaikum,

I am Momekh and no, it is not my real name and I am not German. I hail, so to speak, from the bustling city of Lahore, Pakistan. I qualify as an entrepreneur and only recently understood the difference between owning and running a business, only to find out that I have the ‘owning’ attitude rather than the ‘running’ one. God’s Grace, all of it, no doubt.

In an attempt to categorize myself, I have been known to call myself a Marketing and Business consultant. It can also relate to the fact that I have consulted small and mid sized business owners on presentations, marketing and human resource matters. I have been interviewed more than once (once by Wired’s Jeff Koyen, and twice by the BBC) due to my blogging habits on matters relating to disaster relief efforts and the freedom of media. Making friends along the way, I still blog and write about whatever the heck I feel like. (Mostly at Lahore Metblogs, Treetech Blog and here, Life(ETC))

Cutting an exceptionally long story short, I believe that this life, all of this, is not some form of creative sport and that there will be a day of reckoning where all of us will stand in awe of the Creator. And like I always push my clients to do as well, I like to plan ahead. At least try to.
